Avalon: A frantic homeowner contacted A C R and asked for a sewage backup cleanup estimate. The toilet in the basement bathroom backed up affecting the ceramic tile in the bathroom and laundry room. The carpet/ pad throughout the rest of the finished basement also had a lot of moisture. Visible mold growth was noted on the carpet and drywall. The technicians removed the contents and carpet/pad and base. They cut out the drywall 2 feet up from the floor. They power washed and used the carpet extractor. They thoroughly disinfected using commercial cleaning supplies and set up a drying system. They will continue to monitor the drying process and gave the homeowner some advice on replacing the drywall.
