Bates Lane: During a heavy rainstorm, a sump pump failed and affected the basement. The laundry room contents, concrete floor, framing, vinyl over concrete, vanity, drywall and baseboards were all damaged. In the hallway and family room the carpet pad, drywall, baseboards, contents and brick were also affected. The technicians wrote up recommendations for the proper and hygienic clean up of the water damage, but the only damage restoration that the homeowner wanted was the removal of the carpet pad and baseboards.
