Addison: The insurance company informed ACR of a water emergency loss. The technicians went to the site and found that the water heater had broken a few days beforehand. The water affected the finished basement, carpet/pad and walls. Several of the laundry room vinyl floor tiles were coming lose. The faulty water heater was replaced by a contractor. With the insurance company's approval, the ACR techs removed the carpet and pad, powerwashed, disinfected and set up a drying system.The techs sealed off the basement and will return to monitor the drying . They will cut out carpet and pad samples to send to the carpet lab for analysis and evaluation. The lab results will indicate what kinds of carpet and pad will be necessary to match the existing floor coverings.
