Eagle Terrace: A C R's water damage team was called for emergency service. The property damage was caused by an electric power service interruption. The ground level finished basement, storage room and hall were saturated with water. There was a lot of personal contents in the storage room which were wet and removed.The carpet and pad were saturated and the drywall walls were wet up to 2 inches high. The professional technicians extracted water from the cement areas, carpeting and pad. They power washed the floor and applied disinfectant to all of the floors. They set up a drying system consisting of industrial dehumidifiers and air movers. On the next day the technicians returned to monitor the drying process. Due to the fact that the drywall walls were still wet, they drilled vent holes in the wood panel and added 2 additional airmovers. On the next day the technicians adjusted the positioning of the equipment in order to promote the drying. On the next day, the technicians removed most of all of the equipment, but left three air movers. They vented the drywall in 1 additional wall. On the next day, all of the areas were dry. The techs retacked the carpet and gave the homeowner information on how to schedule the carpet cleaning.
