173rd Place: ACR received a call from the insurance company requesting a water damage inspection. The technicians found visible mold and roof leaks in two places affecting the ceiling and walls in the entry and kitchen. The insurance company approved the removal of the ceiling and carpet/pad in the wet areas. The insurance company did not approve the remediation of the moldy areas. The moldy areas were sealed off with plastic in order to protect the health of the family. They set-up a drying system for the sub-floor and removed a 6' x 3' area of damaged tile. The technicians continued to monitor the drying until the metered drying levels met industry standards.
