Village: A property management company phoned A C R with a water damage loss. A toilet overflow affected the unit it was located in and the adjacent unit. The technicians found the carpet and pad soaked at one end of the common hall. In the unit which was the source of the loss, raw sewage was found in the laundry room and the carpet/pad and the walls were all affected in the entry, hall and hall closet. The technicians used a carpet extractor on all of the wet carpets and removed the affected carpet/pad and drywall. They sprayed an antimicrobial on all affected framing and subfloors and power washed same. They also set up drying equipment and will monitor the drying until it is complete.
